The German GP is set to be the only current event missing when next season’s schedule is confirmed, with Vietnam and the Netherlands bumping the total up to 22.
This year’s race was saved after an informal chat between F1 bosses Chase Carey and Sean Bratches and the Mercedes top management last season led to an influx of funding and title sponsorship of the event.
