Tauranac is best known for founding the legendary Brabham outfit alongside Jack Brabham in the early 1960s, which would lead to Formula 1 world championship success in 1966 (Brabham) and 1967 (Denny Hulme).
He was also the man behind Ralt and its successful Formula 3, Formula 2 and Formula Atlantic cars in the 1970s and 1980s.
